Re: Ported Tb?
there is no need for a ported or aftermarket throttle body unless you have 1 of the following, heads, cam, FI, wet nitrous.
altering the throttle body bump stop, has not been proven to deliver any gains, AND requires computer tuning.
it has been said the stock throttle bodies (which open 78-84 degrees, depending on model year) do so, for "air cutting" turbulance issues, and having a perfect 90 degree blade... may be detrimental.

Re: Ported Tb?
I have seen gains at the local dyno here in AL that look pretty good for a ported stock TB. We had a dyno day not too long ago and a guy with a stock 01 A4 T/A gained around 4 hp, he made 2 pulls then put a ported TB on and made 2 more and it was a consistent 4 at peak and was even more in the middle. I can only vouch for what Ive seen and Ive seen a couple dynoed since I hang at the dyno so much lol. There was one that drove up from FL for tuning and had a ported TB with him and he tried it out and gained like 10 at peak but it was a head/cam car.
