Well it look like i need a muffiler. Im thinking on the dynomax but there is no good clips on ls1sounds.com. anyone have any good clips or any suggestions on what to get?

how bout the hooker catback. its supposed to be really good from what i hear. im also running the loudmouth and i just purchased my hookers with the off road y and if i does sound like a$$ thats what i might get.

 

Any muffler will do and then maybe get a cutout so you can be loud whenever you want.

 

Here is a novel idea. Put some high flow cats on your car. This will quiet things down, make it legal, and only cost you a HP or 2.

With all the militant "save the owl" tree huggers in the northwest I'm suprised they haven't burned your car for not running cats as it is.

 

You can quiet it down and do it cheaply and make your car sound better at the same time. Justinstall a generic 18" bullet muffler crossways in the left side tailpipe in the same location as the stock muffler. A local muffler shop only charged me $50 including the price of the muffler. It sounds ghetto but it works great. It's kinda like a poor man's Borla. This isn't something I read somewhere, I was in the same situation you are in and the rasp was killing me. We tried this and it worked prefectly and eliminated all the rasp too.

Anyways, I also support the idea of putting cats on.. You can also put a "bullet' muffler on the I pipe to smooth it out a bit (replacing the resonator on the LM)


I've always wondered if you can just connect the backpart of the SLP dual dual catback on the back of a LM.. I'd guess that without cats would probabyl sound nice..

Well, dont drive it to work most of the time. They called the police again on me at 2:00pm. O well I was gona quiet it down anyway. I'm now running dynomouth as they cal it. And dont worry there will be no evil deeds on the oll folks. I do belive in carma.
