Please explain the DynoMouth

I'm looking for somethimg new besides my cutout. The dynomouth looks promising. What's all involved with it? What's the cost? I know I already like the sound from the movie clip. Could I still keep my cutout? Thanks for your help guys/gals.

The Dynomouth is a Dynomax bullet muffler installed in a stock (or aftermarket) I-pipe.The stock muffler is then cut off and a y-pipe is used to route 2 pipes out the back.

Anyone have pics of the install? Prices? Best places to get the necessasary parts? Anything I should tell the welding shop to do specifically? Any help would be appreciated since I'm going to go ahead and do this. Thanks http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

Prices?</font>
The muffler runs as low as ~$35 from Summit Racing or Jegs to ~$60 at NAPA. After that the only other cost is the install. I was charged $100. I know people that were charged/quoted anywhere from $80 to $275 for the labor. Shop around.

If you can wait a day or so for shipping: www.jegs.com , if you need one right now... NAPA can get them.

It's fairly self explanitory, they should get where you are coming from pretty quick, if not then you need to go to another shop. A good exhaust man can do this in an hour.

Ok I get the idea now. I think I can explain to my weld shop what to do.

Is that what I need to get?

I'm going to have them make it a quad center exaust as well. I always wanted that but the stock muffler got in the way. This won't create less power than just having my cut out will it?

Well go to my sig. See my tips? I'm just moving those to the center to be a centered dual/quad looking exaust.

Dynomax 24222 if you have stock exhaust, or want other exhaust louder.
Dynomax 24219 if you have other exhaust work done. Headers, gutted cats, ORP, etc... Or if you want to run a quiet version with stock exhaust.

That's an awesome idea! I wish I had done that!

There is no way for any complete exhaust to compete with the efficiency of a cut-out. You will make good power and sound better (IMHO), and I doubt you will notice a power loss. Open the cut-out at the track or dyno. Better yet get a power plate for the cut-out so you can open and close with a switch.

Ok I just ordered the part 24222 - 3" in/out 12" long. This'll be fun. I'll have em put my cut out further up the I-pipe for racing apps. Then the dynomax after that with the tips coming to the center for a quad effect. Should be cool http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif Thanks again all.
