Piston Slap question

I have been planning and will be having soon a cam/head/valve train package installed in a 2001 LS1. At the same time I am 99% sure my engine has the notoriuos piston slap..already checked push-rods and rockers..etc. So my question is, when I have the cam/head package installed, if I have the pistons replaced with an after-market set, will this take care of the slap? If not what would need to be done? I know I can expect to pay approx $500-$600 for a decent set of pistons, but how much more do you think I will be looking at, on top of the cam/head labor to swap the pistons? thanks for you help and time
