Re: People with pacesetter headers

I don't have any pics installed for you, but I can tell you that the black coating on the painted (uncoated) headers will flake off almost immediately. The headers for a '99 and '02 will be the same if they are the race-style without any emissions fittings. If you are wanting an emissions set, then they will be different. The coated headers for a '99 with emissions would be 66-72C2253, the coated for an '02 with emissions fittings would be 66-72C2255, and the coated race-style without any emissions fittings would be 66-72C2256. I have the 2253's and 2256's on the shelf and ready to go.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. We're always here to help!

I had the painted headers on my lt1 and they looked like crap after about 2 months. There are some pics of the coated headers in my sig on the camaro. They look so sweet.

I don't have any pics, but mine still look pretty good after almost 2 years of being on the car. I got in on the first batch of Pacesetters when they introduced them and I still like them to this day. The coating is supposedly done by Jet Hot. They don't look chrome. They just look silver.

Re: People with pacesetter headers

Hey Jared, you can use 99 headers on an 02 car in 3 circumstances: 1. If the 99 headers are race style and you ditch your cats and air pump, 2. If you block the emissions fittings on the 99 headers and you ditch your cats and air pump, or 3. if you change your AIR tubes to the 99 style and block off the EGR fitting on the 99 headers.

Get them coated too, non coated look like *** after a few days, ESPECIALLY if they ever get wet.
