Pacesetter LT Dyno Results!!

We finally got a set on a customer's car on Friday. The headers picked up 22RWHP. Not too bad for a "budget" header! Here is a dyno graph of the gains:

Pacesetter Header Results

We have sold out of the first order we received, before we even got them. We are expecting another order in the next week or so. Give us a call, email us or go to the website if you would like to place an order!

Awesome numbers. FLPs give out about the same at about 3x the cost.

22hp? How do you figure? What was the car pulling on the dyno with stock tune?

What did it pull with the predator tune and the headers?

I know If I put a lid on my car I would see 320ish rwhp so to get 20rwhp from a set of headers wouldnt really impress me.
If I read that correctly, that car also had exhaust? Corsa was it?

hmm....

Psychocabbage- The 318 pull was with predator tuning. We added the headers, pulled the predator tuning, and dynoed the car again with stock tuning. He wanted a full dyno tune so we pulled the predator tuning.

SSpdDemon- The Pacesetters are ceramic coated. The install went fairly smoothly. The only thing we ran into was the Corsa had to be shortend to fit. We don't know if that will be the case with every system.

Okay here are my list of questions...

It really doesn't make sense to show completely different configurations on the same graph.

You should have a stock pull and a stock pull with headers to effectively show the power increase the headers delivered over stock since most people aren't going to pay for tuning. Or even a Predator pull with the headers. Is this the only printout you have? Was the 340 pull made after the custom tuning was completed? Why not just use the Predator to fine tune the a/f ratios and timing? He paid for the ability to do that afterall.

The numbers with the headers were before the dynotune. The car left the shop with 343RWHP.

2002Z28SSConv,

The 318rwhp pull was from the last time the car was in for a dyno (from a dyno day), since we had a dyno graph already and virtually nothing was changed, there was no need for another before pull. Do you really think the Diablo generic programming did anything? I've seen dynotests of all the handheld programmers. If it gained for the better, then you can actually say the headers did at least a 22rwhp gain, since bone stock programming could be lower than 318rwhp to begin with.

340rwhp was with stock tuning. 343rwhp was with corrected A/F ratio's and slightly more timing plus the deletion of codes for missing cats, I think thats about all its going to gain at this point until he does some internal engine mods. I remember him saying a camshaft was next!

I really don't know why he chose to use LS1edit tuning over what the Predator is capable of, my guess is just for future mods since we upgrade the tuning for free if he uses our parts.

The customer's car that got the headers was lowered. He has not had any clearance issues yet and our roads suck!
