Uncoated hookers would be more worth your money. Pacesetters are ok, but you'll get much better gains w/ hookers.

So you've owned both the Pacesetter LTs as well as the Hookers?

red91tsiawd- We have a project car(98 Z28) that we are working on. It's going to be a budget setup for those that don't want to spend a lot of money. We will be doing a different bolt-on each week and then dynoing the setup to see what the car does. We will be installing the Pacesestter LTs in the next couple of weeks to see exactly what they do. We'll post up the results after we dyno.

Pacesetters and Jet-Hot are basically Hookers.

I was just about to ask the same question After seeing the price these are definately a valuable option if they perform well. I would love to see some dyno results

I have Pacesetters on order (see sig) and they should be here in a week or so. Unless I am running pig rich, I'll be setting up a dyno to check the gains immediately.

Guys seem to be happy with them. From the clips I've heard, they sound nice. No problem with the price... $600 coated and shipped with all the goodies.

PS: JD, I'll show you as soon as they get in the car.

i guess i'll be ordering after he gets em and gets dyno results. i need em quick though because i have a "ricer" on my back because he smoked a 99 convertable z28 so i REALLY wanna get em good and shut em up . its a 420a eagle talon with a built block and a super16g turbo with 18psi of boost.... he had 260hp at 14psi and his car weighs like 2900 pounds. do you think i will have a chance after i get headers and DR's?

A few guys do have them, but as one owner said, "the type of people that buy Pacesetters are cheap and trying to get the best bang for the buck - those people are not likely to spend their money on a dyno session."

One guy got about 16 rwhp/tq on a stockish car, and a H/C car got ~26rwhp.

I'm an import guy, and Pacesetter for imports is the WORST you can buy... at low RPMs you actually LOSE 1HP!! I dunno, but I would rather not spend my money on something that will make me lose HP!

I find it very hard to believe that anyone could go wrong with any basic LTs. The only risk you run is when you go with ones like SLPs that may be tuned to a specific rpm and your car is not set up to run in the same rpms when racing... but even they 'usually' perform well enough. I don't have any concerns.

The AWD cars are very hard to beat cause they launch like a bat out of hell. But as I usually say to people wanting to know if their car can beat somebody else's, there's only one way to find out. Don't race if you're afraid of losing.
