Re: Pacesetter headers

If your talking about the LT headers, then I just installed a set on my LT1 this past summer. The quality and fit of these are great! And you really can't beat the price. The Y pipe is somewhat generic but fit and worked out well, for me at least.

Re: Pacesetter headers

The PaceSetter long tube headers for the LS1's make excellent power. They will make just as much power as any other quality long tube on the market. We've tested virtually every set of headers on our dyno, and they all add near identical power. PaceSetter's y-pipe can require a LOT of elbow grease to get it to fit. We have developed our own 3" off-road y-pipe that is a slip-fit design for the PaceSetter LS1 long tubes. It is not crimped down on the driver's-side, it features one additional adjustment point, and it comes with all of the clamps necessary to bolt it on the car. We also include 3" band clamps for the header/y-pipe connection so you do not distort the header collectors with a u-clamp. We sell our 3" off-road y-pipe for $145.

We have the PaceSetter headers and our 3" off-road y-pipe IN STOCK and ready to ship, and we have another 35 sets shipping this afternoon from PaceSetter. Feel free to call or e-mail if you have any questions.

Re: Pacesetter headers

Are all the collectors on long tube headers a slip fit or do some have flanges with bolts like small-block chevys?BTW, thanks for the responces this is my first LS1 camaro,so this engine is all new to me.

Re: Pacesetter headers

I have Pacesetters on my '99 Camaro and I LOVE them. They added a little power and look really good under the hood(I got the ceramic coated ones)

No problems at all installing them. Just take out the drivers side motor mount bolt and use a jack to raise the motor just a little just to be sure you dont scratch the ceramic coating putting it in if you get the ceramic ones.

NO LEAKS! I used GM metal gaskets and the bolts that came with the headers, which are non-locking but so far (4-5K miles) mine havent leaked yet. No scratches either...ground clearance hasnt never been a problems anywhere...even those huge *** speed bumps it doesnt scratch. I have always had problems before with headers leaking but these work perfect.

Check out the link the the '99 Camaro in my sig....its my cardomain page. Go to like the 2nd/3rd page(?) and it shows pictures of my headers before the install. You can see how freakin thick the header flange is on these suckers and the quality of the coat. Plus there are pictures of them installed on the car from underhood and under-car while its on a lift.

BTW the ceramic coating is worth it....they still look like the day I installed them 5K miles later.

As everyone said, they are AWESOME headers. I have pics of them in my sig. The quality for the price is amazing. The install was cake, WAY easier than my old MAC's. You will enjoy them!
