Question Pacesetter Headers

Got mine in the mail the other day and they look good, but how do you attach them to the ORYP? There isnt a flange on the headers. Weld I guess? Won't that screw up the coating? Also has anyone heard these LT's w/ORYP and the B&B Tri-Flo Cat back? I hate to say this but the 4.6L Mustakes sound good. How do they do it?

The Y-pipe "slips" over the collectors.

Look at it, you'll see. You could weld it if you want to but I don't think it's necessary. Once you "slip" the catback on the Y (along with the headers), it shouldn't be going anywhere.

5.0/4.6s (with exhaust) sound damn good...IMO, my car (or any LT1/LS1 for that matter) doesn't sound as good and I never expect it to. Just the way it is.

You could use muffler clamps on the collectors. I normally use a muffler clamp to swage it and then remove the clamp. You have to tighten it to crimp the two together but makes for a good tight connection. It can pull out in some situations but with the hanger on the passenger side holding the Y pipe isn't going anywhere.
