Pacesetter Headers...

I hear most of you guys talking about how much you love these things. Can someone give me a bit of info on them such as cost, how low do they hang, how loud is it (how would it sound with Loudmouth exhaust), and other useful info would be great!

I plan on ordering these tomarrow. I have read they do not hang too low like slp. Also what I have read is that anything without cats will be too loud with loudmouth. I plan on custom true duels with chambered mufflers and x-pipe.

Look on ebay. They make them for all year LS1s. You can get the Longtubes and Off road pipe shipped to your door for a little over $400. Thats a sweet deal IMO. Brand new too. They hang fine even on lowered cars. Some people may get banging but if you stick a piece of metal under it the banging will stop eventually. Plus they sound sweet as hell!

Here is some pricing on the Pacesetter LTs. The coated ones are $339.99, uncoated are $249.99. The off-road y-pipe is $124.99. The price will be going up at the end of the month and again at the end of the year. We are running a special on the headers right now. If you purchase a set, we will throw in a pair of $50 O2 ext. for free and you will also get a free t-shirt. We will receive our next order middle to late next week. We will have all years, 98-99, 00, and 01-02, coated and uncoated.
We have installed a set on a customer's car that is lowered. It's lowered about 1.25 to 1.5". I have talked to him a couple of times about the exhaust setup and the only time he has problems is when he goes over speed bumps and our streets here aren't the best.
Feel free to email me or give me a call if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Brian

I want these headers. Do you have any other Y-Pipe options? I cant get an offroad pipe installed here. I've got to have highflow cats.

i have em and love em, best bang for the buck out there! the LM with an ORYP would be alil to loud but if you had cats on it that would tone it down to alil louder than it is now.

they don't hang at all and now mine only tap the floorboard when i'm all over it in 1st and 2nd

Nope

You might be able to modify (cut it, bend it, weld new flanges on) the stock Y to fit but that would probably be a real PITA (especially considering you'd still have the stock Y).

Yeah, you need to get the Pacesetter Y (BigZ28 mentioned it in his post) or I can give you the number of someone in Ft. Lauderdale that'll make a Y-pipe for ya. That would run you $200 though...BigZ has the Pacesetter Y for $125.

Save yourself $75 and get the Pacesetter.
