oops

Ok I was checking my oil, where there was barely any light, my dumbass missed the holster where the oil stick is supposed to go, and i think it hit the engine block, the gray part, and sparks fly for about 4 seconds, until i pull it out. Should I suspect any damage done to the engine, should I check my fuses? so far my car runs, but I couldn't tell if my performance has degraded or not. Any help would be appreciated

Exclamation

Damn you got sparks just by hitting the block. Thanks for the warning, I'll be extra careful when I do that for the first time ( currently @1.6k mi.).

You got sparks when the dipstick touched the block? I'm missing something here...

you probalby hit the starter at the spot the battery cable connects to it. the block wouldnt do that. I doubt you hurt anything. as long as teh car runs OK i wouldnt worry.
