'98 had 2 colors that are now rare. Purple was only available for the 1st 1/2 of the production run in '98 and Gold is the other rare '98 color.

My 10th anniversary Firehawk is rare. They only made 139 of them. Unforttunately, they come with a price premium. Are you just looking for rare colors, or rare cars?

In 1998 only 400 some of the 3,017 Camaro SS's had one or more of the SLP Y2Y options on them. Hell when I went in to order mine the dealer didn't know what SLP was or what I was talking about when I mentioned Y2Y options, the dealer had to call someone to figure out how to order the car with them

1LE SS cars
BC4 cars (privately owned); All M6 BC4 cars.
35th pkg SS (well sorta with a few thousand made)
Hugger Orange cars.
Bright Blue or Green Metallic, Sport Gold, and Purple are pretty rare.
Any Car with a white leather or red cloth interior is somewhat rare.
Less rare, is the Light Grey Cloth/Leather interiors. Most cals left the factory with the ebony cloth.

SOM cars arent rare.... purdy but not rare.

1LE cars are rare. For instance, in 2001 they only made 18 SS' with the 1LE option.

17 M6
1 A4

Arctic White 4
Black 5
Bright Red 1
Navy Blue 4
Pewter Metallic 3
Sunset Orange 0

How would you like to have that Red one? It's the only one in an auto also.

Just based on exterior color, (Chris mentioned all of these) I think the rarest ones are:

Bright Purple, Bright Green, Bright Blue, Sport Gold and Hugger Orange. Those colors were only offered in MY '98 or '99 (or both).

sup guys. My 98z is a funny color. It kinda changes from green to blue to purple, and it is factory paint. Is this rare?

Killaz,Did you buy that car new, if not I
highly doubt its factory.

Brickyards are considered by some
to be a future collectable because they
have they're own RPO

Another fourth gen, there were 100
LT4 30th SS's.

As far as colors go, its a catch 22.
Generally speaking a color is rare
because not many people wanted it
(not talking limited editions). So you
have a very small market to buy from
or sell to. Some people will demand a
premium, some will take a loss.
Prime example is a 99 Hugger.

Yes sir i am the original owner. The reason i got it was because of the paint but i never did ask what color it was.
