I would do a lid and filter, dump the flowmaster catback for a more freeflowing catback, get the TB ported, get an electric cutout, I recommened the QTEC www.quicktimeperformance.com thats a good start, if you want to go further than that, then you could look into LT headers and if you have an auto, check out a torque convertor

I saw a dyno chart somewhere a while back for before and after on asp pullies and the resule was a gain of 12rwhp, if indeed the dyno wasn't rigged or anything I'd defiently put a set of those on also.

I think im just gonna go with the lid and filter for now.
I see there are many brand and prices. What Lid is better?
I would like to get a clear one

Im not gonna redo the exhoust till i have money for heathers and the SLP Loudmouth.

Also, Im thinking a trootle body spacer and pullies?
What do you guys think?

I have an M6 and just want to run 12's

I've got the clear lid, very cool lid, but they all do the same, there is hardly and differance in any aftermarket lid. Also get a new filter, I got the holley, I like it.

The pullies are a good idea. The spacer I don't think is necessary, perhaps maybe get your throttle body ported instead.

If you not gonna change your catback, then getting a QTEC is a great idea. Save up the cash and get yourself a nice set of headers, and I guess the loudmouth, then you can transfer the actual QTEC unit to the loudmouth, minus the flowtech piece, but that is cheap to replace.

BTW you can run 12's straight off the dealers lot, many people claim to have done it bone stock. But to be safer, get a set of nitto drag radial tires, lid+filter, ported TB, QTEC cutout, and with the proper technique you should be flying your way into the 12s.....Oh yeah the ASP pullies too, and for mid to low 12's, look into some headers, I am getting the QTP headers, they come from the same guy who makes the QTEC www.quicktimeperformance.com

All lids are about the same.. look at my sig for reviews on a dyno.. SKIP the filter.. stay stock if you want power.. again.. in the reviews in sig.. the clear MTI lid has been known for cracks.. fine ones... Some people say it yellows but I havent seen anyone who said thiers does.. but the cracks do come with a stiffer plastic.

Im not gonna redo the exhoust till i have money for heathers and the SLP Loudmouth.

TB space? nope... also dont worry about maf ends or ported TB since you dont have many mods.. Pulley? Now you are thinking.. pulleys work off simple math.. Only a few downsides but most people I know that put on pulleys didnt have anything bad go wrong with their car because of them, and yes, they should net you some HP...
I have an M6 and just want to run 12's
12's? like 12.9 or 12.1? big difference there. what kind of numbers are you putting down now? Dyno or otherwise...
People need to keep in mind it isnt who has the MOST mods, its who has the least mods that make the most good! I am bone stock and can put down the same power others with mods do.. why? perhaps its just that I am not hard on my car.. or perhaps its cause mine is a freak.. but maybe when people run out like lemmings and get X part cause everyone has X part on thier car, then they arent getting the best part.. just the most popular.. I am testing everything... I dont want to spend $200 or more and be thinking, is this any good? I want to have hard proof in my hand that shows yes or no... That is why I dont use a K&N, Holley or Amsoil air filter. I use the stock paper one.. Sure the others filter better (mainly why they restrict airflow a bit too) but the paper one works well enough for me... Sure I am spending alot on dyno pulls and whatnot.. but for me, and the peace of mind, its well worth it.

Will the skip shift prevent me from this?

About the nitto tires, put them on my stock 17' rims?

And where do i get a ported TB?

For the ported TB, shoot over to LS1Tech.com and check out Bauer Racing, its good for 10 ponies

Yes you can put on the Nitto DRs on your stock tires, they are also good for the street, just be careful in the rain.

Or if you want to dedicate them to track use only, then check the for sale section for people selling 16" stock Z28 rims, these would be even better for the track because you will be able to lay more rubber down with the additional sidewall. Or you could even buy a pair of rims for like $50 a piece and use those.....A lot of options here

You can buy a skip shift elimantor, I think its like $30....You can get it the same place as the QTEC too, its easy to install too, just plug it in

Where does it plug in and does it help in running the 1/4th?

There is a little module underneath the car. It comes with directions. It takes all of 45 seconds to install it.

Does it help in the 1/4 miles.....Hmmm I don't know, I drive an A4 not an M6.....But my friend has an M6, he loves it, he couldn't stand the skip shift that always came up for him......For $30 I think it is well worth it.

Sweet

Also, I like this Ported TB
http://www.bauer-racing.com/throttlebodies/fbodytb.htm

So my list is:

1. Skip shift deleate
2. Clear lid from Texas Speed (since they say they will replace
it if it cracks )
3. Ported TB -----is it really 10 hp?
4. Pullies ----Does Summint Racing have them?

and maybe tires later this summer.
Any other lil thing i can do?
