Oil pressure seems a little high after changing oil. Please help.

Hey guys,
First off I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Mike I am new to this board. I bought a 1999 Camaro Z/28 Black Hardtop Automatic about 3 months ago. I did one oil change right after I bought it, and I did another one just a few days ago as it was near 3000 miles. My question to you all is, I put 5 quarts of 5W30 into my LS1, the oil dipstick reads just in the crosshatched area near the top, but my concern is the oil pressure. At 2k on the freeway at about 80 mph cruising, i noticed it near about 60-62 psi on the guage. Is this too much oil pressure for my motor? Did I put too much oil in that it would cause premature seal wear on my valve seals or something? My car has 66,000 miles on it and it is immaculate, I want it to stay that way. Also, I rarely see the guage go under 35 psi at idle whether it is cold, warm, etc.. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There IS such a thing as too much oil pressure, but 60-62 lbs won't hurt your motor. Be thankful!

different thickness of oil can cause different oil pressure

60ish is average for an LS1, they run considerably higher pressure than an LT1. It's not uncommon to see the gauge near pegged when on a wide open throttle run. As long as you are using the correct oil and the correct amount, your situation is nothing to worry about.

I put in 6qts everytime. I also dont change every 3K miles. I change when it tells me to which can go as long as 9K miles btw changes. I only use Mobil 1 5w30. I have had 0 problems.

I have put in 5 quarts of castrol gtx (5w30). I have used it in all three cars I have ever had, with no bad results.
