When i was on the road the other day, i ran it through first and second. at about 4500-5500 rpm's the oil pressure gauge dropped and then picked up again. it was at around 60psi and then it fell to around 30 or so. Has anyone ever sucked the oil pan dry? is it possible? i wasnt even spraying, and when i do, it revs up even faster. What can be done about this?

Stock oil pressure guages aren't the most accurate. I'd take a look at it with a real guage and see what it's doing.

 

mine was doing it in first, that was low oil, now it's doing like you described, i'm gonna hook up atap and see what i can figure out. I think it's just the stock POS gauge.

Thanks for the replies guys. I know the stock gauges suck, but i have an automoeter phantom oil pressure gauge, but i still havent found out where to hook up the sender that came with the gauge.
