I have recently installed a Interceptor Gauge (hooks up to OBD system) in my 02 SS and it shows my oil pressure at 65,532, but factory gauge reads about 50 psi? Also i have lost a little oil since last oil change? Is it normal for our cars to loose oil (nothing crazy). Any ideas on normal oil pressure with 5w-30?

 

Somewhere around 30 psi at idle and varying while driving around.

 

I don't see how any oil pressure gauge could get any kind of reading from "hooking up to OBD system". You need a dedicated sending unit for that gauge. Finally, it sounds like that 65532 number that is displayed is a maximum value because you have an improper gauge input.
