I actually have started to hear good things about the Walmart Supertech filters myself, and decided to try one in my Daily driver.

The AC Delco PF58 fits just as good as the PF44 but it's longer. It's not too long so it does not stick out.... I don't have any idea if it's really better to have a bigger or longer filter but I'm positive it cannot make it worse.... and it's not more expensive (about $4) so just give it a try....

After studying quite a few oil filter tests. Here's my recommendations.

The Delco is fine, it has a moderately low micron filtration & moderate flow.

Mobile-1 has super low micron filtration & moderate flow.

Purolator PURE ONE has 2nd best micron filtration (just behind Mobile-1) and higher flow.

FRAM IS A PIECE OF ...umm... junk! Biggest rip off marketing in the business!

I have heard that the K&N Filters have good filtration like the M1 filters but much better flow.

Cool

I've been using AC Delco filters since day 1. I figure if it's gotta be "warranty approved", GM can't knock an AC Delco filter!

As far as Fram's, supposedly they're totally "card-board" construction inside, vs. most filters have metal backings on the filter elements for more strength?? I'm not sure about their "micron" or "flow" specs though.

I have pics of a cut up fram if anyone would like to see the cardboard. Alot of manufacturers now advise to stay away from fram since they can fail and you will not be filtering at all.
