obd2 code 430
obd2 code 430
just acquired an obd2 code reader and came back with this 430 code that relates to camshaft positioner sensor ,car runs fine ,bought it used a year ago and was wondering if maybe the dealership had repaired it and didn't remove the code,
If the sensor was bad wouldn't I notice it in the performance end.seems to have great power,no missing ,knocking, etc.

^+1.
The code for the cps is P0336, and the cps has no effect on performance, its there for misfire detection. Most likely you need a new cat, but bad cats are usually a symptom of another underlying problem (running rich, coolant in the engine, etc).
