O2 sensors malfunction

Just got my hooker lt's in and threw a few codes on my 99 z/28.

p154- o2 sensor system no power
p155- o2 sensor system malfunction

I do have o2 sims for the back pair, and everything is plugged in. Is it possible the o2 sensors have already gone bad? They are the originals.

Re: O2 sensors malfunction

If your headers are coated, then it is possible that the sensors are now defective. For whatever reason, it seems the coating is pretty hard on the 02 sensors upon initial startup. I trashed both of my original sensors after installing my headers. Its usually a given that they will fail so alot of people will just drive around with them for a couple of days, and then replace them with a brand new pair.

Ah i see. Forgot to mention they are coated. My bad

If both of them are out, is it affecting the performance of the car in any way? Or is it just gonna light up the ses? And what are the recommended replacement sensors?

Make sure what sensors these codes refer to ( bank 1 or 2, sensor 1 or 2)before just changing stuff out. It could be just a bad O2 simm.
