Noise Pollution
I was wondering about something. I am about to buy the Corvette inspired SLP exhaust, and I was wondering if the noise factor would increase my chances of both being caught or getting a ticket for making too much noise. Also I was wondering if other people who have these loud exhausts like it, or are sick of it after a while. Thanks for any responses.

I've never had any problems with my car and the LM makes it pretty damn loud. It draws more attention to the car but as long as you're not going down city streets at WOT I think you'll be fine.

Sound wise LM is definetely not my cup of tea. My choice for a catback is going to be Hooker.
Later!

i've never been hassled by the cops for exhaust noise. now stereo noise, that's a different story...
LM is defiantly awesome.. Everyone that hears it loves it..
2 years later, I wouldn't mind havng a muffler, but I can still live with it. Actually, a hooker catback maybe my next setup..
I haven't gotten in trouble, but it is a calling song for cops to flock the area.. You will be heard literally blocks away.. My gf inside the house can hear me a few blocks away.. The cats hear me even further! lol

In a month I will be upgrading to some headers and a removable catted Y pipe. I have the LM right now, let me tell you...this thing is too damn quiet for me. I want the ground to shake as I drive by. I havnt been hastled yet with the LM basically because it really isnt that loud of an exhaust, people who think it is are apparently too old
I can't wait to get the new setup, WOT runs will be video'd and hopefully I can have someone host.

I had headers/ORY/Loudmouth, and now have true duals. I have yet to be pulled over for noise. Be careful, and 6-speeds help keep the noise down.

I'm thinking about getting true dual borla exhaust. SSCamaro99_3, did u notice any torque drop with the dual? How much better are duals than y-pipe with dual tips?

I had the loudmouth on my other Z for almost a year and I've had it on the current car for almost 6 months
I only get tired of it on the highway, kind of hard to have a phone conversation
