Angry noise after welding in the frame ties...what is it???

I put on my competition engineering subframe connectors on this weekend after letting them collect dust for about a year. We welded them in and painted them nice and good. now when i go over a decent size bumb the right rear makes this huge banging noise. sounds like a shock just broke through the upper mount or soemthing. any ideas as to what it might be? When i put them on i turned up my kyb agx's up to 7 on the back, and its really stiff now. could that be it? im going to lower the shocks down to 4 this weekend to see what happens, but its really pi$$ing me off. I put these on the stiffin and quiet, not to make more annoying noises...any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Did you weld the rear mounting point? If not, that could be the cause.

I put some bolt on SFC's and noticed on certain hard jolts in road I will hear a noise like you are describing near the rear of the passenger side door. checked bolts and they are all tight on the SFC's. thought it was from car trying to flex.
