Cool Newbie here.. just wanna say hi

Hello everyone. I just wanted to throw up a quick post since I just joined. Although I am new to the board I am not new to Camaro's. I have own 5 v6 Camaros but I just got a 2000 SS, so I am new to the v8 side. I do have a quick question for anyone that might be able to answer. I am trying to figure out what all options came on my car from SLP, can anyone give me an idea of how to do that? One of my main concerns is which exhaust is on the car, if I am not totally wrong SLP puts a couple different kinds so how can I tell?

Thanks all, and look forward to using the board!

Let me be the first to say "welcome to the board"

I've got family in Huntsville. Next time I go down there, I may try to hook up with you at some point.

Wow.. I post a message asking for help and only one person even replies.

I didnt think my question was something people on this board could not help with. Perhaps this is not the board I want to be a part of because you guys dont seem to be offering much help.

Oh well.. maybe the thread just got buried and not many people saw it. Perhaps this will bring it to the top and restore my faith.

Welcome aboard! If you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email. In terms of finding out what your car came with..you can check your window sticker. If you don't have that, call up SLP and give your VIN number. Hope that helps. What number SS is yours?

Hey, welcome to the board!! You will very soon come to love the power of your LS1!!! They are truly a great motor (anything that can put ~300HP to the wheels from the factory is doing pretty good IMO!!!)

I'm sorry I can't answer your question about the exhaust --- I'm not too sure about all the SS spec's, but take Eric's advice^^^^^ above and call SLP --- they could probably tell you about your exhaust, and they can also tell you what # SS your car is.

Congrats on your car!

And BTW: 6-speed or auto??? Not like it matters, but everyone likes to know! (and don't worry about the ribbing you'll get if you've got the "A4" - your car is still just as fast as the 6-speed!! --- although some will argue .

WHOAH! Are you serious, dude? We're all friends here and the fact that I'm the first one to take offense to your harsh words should tell you that we're nice guys and gals.

Seriously, if it's your attitude that we owe you something, then maybe this isn't the right board. If you want to be part of a great group of people, then we'll welcome you with open arms.

Wink

Thanks Eric and Capn for your replies. I will probably just take your advice on calling SLP to get the info. I bought the car used so I didnt get a window sticker. And it is a M6 Capn. I personaly just could never buy a sports car with a automatic tranny, but that is just me.

Tire, sorry you found offense in my words, but read them again. The last line notes that maybe it was all just a mishap and should let you know that I am not the kind of person that has an attitude about much. However I am also the kind of person that speaks my mind so I will leave it at this.. I offer my apology to you and anyone else whom I might have offended.. that being said if anyone does not wish to accept my apology so be it I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

Thanks again guys, and Tire hope we are straight.. I am not looking to step on toes.

How do I find out what number my car is?

Oh and Eric I checked out your website.. it is pretty cool, did you design it yourself or have someone else do it?

To find your number call up SLP. Give them your VIN and they will let you know your production number.

Thanks for the compliment on the site. I designed and created it myself. I'm working on a new design, however that's a side project for now
