Newbie

Well let me begin by saying Hi! I just did the deed. I bought one of the last camaro SS cars. I flew to some dealership in the middle of the country and drove her down. AMAZING! the dealership got her from the dale earnhardt dealership. Now that I have been driving her for about a month, and have recovered from the downpayment, I have ordered the loudmouth exhaust and intake. What should be the next moves? Money is an issue so dont say SUPERCHARGER. That is probably in a year or so. any help is good
thanks - jes

Is it a M6 or A4?

An ASP pulley is a good step. A TC for an A4. Some better tires - Nittos, if you're not a rain-driver. Look towards some Longtube headers too. All basic upgrades to do.

Welcome to CZ28 Jes
Lid and exhaust are first like you said. Free ram air when you do the lid too. Strut tower brace and sub-frame connectors next. That will keep the dealers from hasseling you about warranty. I'd still put the stock air box on if you had to take it back for work though (unless you have a dealer that won't hassel you about that). Get a sig. so we can see details about your car(s). Later>>>>>>>

Try this list...

1. Lid
2. Cat back
3. Subframe connectors
4. Strut Tower brace
5. Lower Control Arms
6. Mac/SLP/FLP/Hooker headers...stay away from any Shortie on an LS1 car.

If your car is an auto, get a Torque Converter(3200-4400 stall, depending on how much street driving you do).

If manual, you'll need a clutch down the road, but definately get an aftermarket shifter, I have a B&M ripper and really like it.

Wait...what..no supercharger (look at the sig)

Take care and good luck!

A TC is more expensive but is BY FAR the better mod if your goal is to be faster. The pulley will give you a tenth, but a TC can give you five tenths.

i have an M6. Thanks for the ideas. I am currently working on them, Slowly. you know as I get paid. No I am not a convertable. My massive goal is to be extremely fast. Has anyone raced a lightning yet? A friend just got one and wants to race. I know nothing about trucks and I know he has light mods. What do you guys think? Suggestions are good.

I think the first mods for M6s should be a nice set of 4.10 gears.

would that shorten the gears too much? I do not want to have to shift like as if I am in a rice burner. Does that make sense to you?
