It looks sweet. Show quality finish and it comes with all the sensors and no core charge.

SLP price was $169.00 +S&H. From what everyone says the TB realy doesn't gain much. Gears will really let you feel it. I went from a 2.73 to a 3.73. Major difference. It's going to be a while for the dyno. The car is in the shop getting a anw FLP level4 tranny.

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

it must be just a ported and polished stock TB for that price.

gains will be pretty minimal...but the look may be worth it.

any links

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

I heard somewhere that the stock throtle body flow qualities were good upto 600 hp. I think the larger TB would be best felt and appreciated if you are running a large cam requiring heavy flow #'s. Is the SLP TB larger diameter or just ported? And I agree, shiny parts are allways welcomed. LOL

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

It looks like a ported stocker.

They don't increase the TB diameter, just clean it up for smoother flow. (Get rid of the ridge in front of the blade etc.) From what I've heard it gives you better throttle response.

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

What about the throttle cam? 98-99 throttle bodies supposedly open faster than 00-02 throttle bodies.

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

Just bought the TB, figure that you'd spend a little mor than that to have it P+P'd, add in sensors.....what the hey.....better throttle response...YEAH!

Re: New SLP Throttle Body

DOH!! Oh well, yeah I think I've seen the TB you had done on your cardomain page, same, but what about shipping from CT?...Well, the TB's in the mail. My uncle did the heads on his Caddie-Northstar, he said it felt like an extra 70 hp....But...Yeah, I've gotta return that WOT V-booster when I get home. I've got so many boxes of parts waiting for me, I've gotta sift through them. ...Desert $ bought me goodies!
