All I've seen so far were guesstimates and claims for gains, and buttdyno shift earlier concepts of more power.

Why would something cause you to shift earlier from more power? You didn't change your gear ratio. RPM at a specific speed will remain the same.

Yes I realize that. What I am trying to say is that because
it was a lower speed=lower RPM. Now figure how your
powerband works. So what I'm getting at is if it feels
like 2000 when actually I'm at say 1700, there most be more
torque/power throwing me off my normal rythem.
I tend to always shift at the same speeds, now I find myself
shifting sooner based on the feel of the engine.
I don't know how else to explain it and don't really know
what isn't to understand. You don't shift all day staring at
the tach do you?

I understand being septicle, I was too.
I'm not swearing by it or giving my recomdation.
I bought it cause I had a couple bucks to spare
It's a cheap part. I never saw people so
up in arms when SLP put out a bellow claiming
6 hp for the same money.

Also I put this on this week the same time as
G2 LCA's and PHR so my new better positive
traction could also be a factor. But I'm still
telling you my motor feels better down low.
Take it for what its worth. I'm not going to
spend 80 to dyno a $50 mod, sorry G4S

I don't have a SLP bellow either. They're way over priced, you can get a coupler that looks just like it for under $20.

i bought a cplr and it fit good with the stock lid, but when I got my TSP lid, it kept pushing the TSP lid up and wasn't sealing, So I put the stock piece back in and magically the lid fit. I might still be able to use the cplr if I trim it down a bit, but we'll see. I don't think it really gives you a gain, but it sure looks alot better.

Here is a couple pager on this over on LS1tech.com

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98930

BTW a mod that is going to make you faster needs to be in the high RPM range. A ported TB helps that out and picks up HP at and past HP peak, so it will give you lower 1/4 mile times and faster MPH. The low end gain is o.k. but if you are drag racing your clutch dump or stall speed is much higher than were this extra 10hp comes in. And for guys with limited traction at the strip it's not going to help spin on launch any
