New Motor??????

I am going to build a new motor over the winter and was wanting to ask some advice. Since I am gonna build a totally different motor, should I just keep the LT1 block or build something based on the LS1? I will be going with a new Fuel Management system like FAST, etc..so I guess what I am asking is should I go with the LS1 based motor and what all will have to be changed keeping in mind the standalone FMS.. I currently have a 94Z and I am gonna get another motor to use so I can keep this one and have less downtime. Thanks in advance.

it's all about the stroked and blown LS1

i think the ls1 is a better platform, since it can be stroked/bored larger...actually resleeved...and it's head design significantly outflows the lt1 to begin with.

and it is lighter.

yeah that is why I was leaning that way. You know it is funny, I posted it in here as well as the LT1 section. The Ls1 section says go with the LS1 (which I think is the best also) and the LT1 section says stay with the LT1. I posted in both sections to get different view points...pros and cons I guess you could say. I have already talked with MTI in Texas about the LS1....and they were talking about some good prices on a combo making 490-510 rwhp, and 520-530 rwtq. That seems pretty awesome, and then throwing a good shot of lafngas on it...that would do me for a while!!!

Definately forged internals. If I build a motor or have one built, I might as well go ahead and do it right. Forged is the way to go.
