Talking New to me 99 SS!

Hey guys!

Just bought a 99 SS over the weekend, black, 6 speed, t-tops, leather, etc... And all that has been done to it is someone put a cheesy flowmaster muffler on it, thats it! Oh the fun i'm about to have!

I'm gonna go ahead and change the plugs and wires, and i wanted to know what kind of plugs you guys use. On my 94 Z i use NGK TR55's, and i think i read where people like to use the NGk TR6's on the LS1's. Can someone give me some input on this?!

Also, i'm gonna get a lid real soon, and i know there's a difference between the 98-00 and the 01-02's, but not exactly sure what. Can someone help me out?! Thanks in advance guys!!

I'm running the TR55's ... Aren't TR6's for forced induction and nitrous applications ... a heat range colder than stock? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Congrats on the purchase!!! Let the modding begin!

good purchase.

for the plugs and wires, you may want to read through my header install page (page 11 of my website in the sig) and read some of the tips i have for the plug/wire removal and installation part of it. may help ya out a touch.

i used ngk tr55 gapped to the factory spec .60

differnce in lids is more a difference in the car...not the lid. the 01/02 maybe 00 have a tube running from the air pump to the lid. aftermarket lids don't have this provision, they have you shorten the tube and put a small filter on it by itself.

least thats what i think most lid companies make you do

just go buy a universal breather and put it on the end of the air pump tube, that's what I did on my buddies '00 WS6

SLP's lid has a hole for the A.I.R. tube so you don't have to buy a breather filter.
