New from MD (NEED HELP IDENTIFYING MY AFTERMARKET PARTS)

Hey Camaro Lovers! Ive been listening to the podcast for a while and just now becoming a member of the Community.

I'm living in Maryland and getting excited for the spring, as its going to be a joy to drive my 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro.

**********NEED HELP IDENTIFYING AFTERMARKET PARTS********

Im still quite a Novice in the ways of automotives. I planned on getting a basic 2002, Z28 and I was blessed with one with a full aftermarket exhaust.

Though I have still not got it through MD inspection, I plan to get a hot ticket soon...still a little worried about emissions.

But I really need help identifying what aftermarket exhaust I have. I was told its a Cherry Bomb...but also something about a SLP Loudmouth....I dunno...need some seasoned Camaro Car Enthusiast to help me figure it out.

Check out my pics if you all can help.

THANKS

Michael C

Looks like a loudmouth or a knockoff version. You can tell because there is only a bullet muffler and no muffler behind the axle (the muffler is what people called a cherry bomb). As long as it still has catalytic converters you should be fine on emissions.

Thanks for the Response! Wow, I hope I didn't get a knock off. How can I tell if I have cats on it. I was told by one mechanic that I had no Cats, then My somebody told me they spotted two cats on their...the price of being a newb..lol

Willing to do my studies if you can put me in the right direction

Thanks Again

Cats are the big muffler looking things at the very front of the car. They are the first thing in the exhaust after the engine.
