I could buy a forged shortblock for that price! BTW, that manifold has been around for a while...

I hear you. It was a little weird seeing this here. How freaky is it that one of his posts resurfaced only a few days after he passed away? Maybe it's his way of saying "Hi"

You only need an aftermarket manifold on a LS-1 if you plan on going all out. The LS-6 manifold can support more than enough HP. The sheet metal intakes are only for high rpm track cars. The LS-X is making a little more power than the LS-6, but is a last option to dig up as much HP as possible. As far as this spider intake goes, I don't think they are avalible anymore. The guy who was building them passed away. When I contacted them, they said they were looking for someone else to start building the design, but were unsuccesful at the time.

Actually, I haven't posted much in quite a while. It's raining today and I haven't had much to do. I think I'm going to start coming in here more often cause there seems to be alot of easy questions that keep going unanswered, or answered incorrectlly.

Dude me and you are gonna confuse the hell out of each other!

Today you respond to my dual exhaust post and I get the email alert, I'm checking and responding to that and then an alert comes in that you responded over here about the intake...so I finish up and post that then come here and put in my above post.

Just as I finish my post above I get an alert that you responded again to my dual exhaust thread and so i finish here and go there...as I'm there I get a alert saying you replied here again.

lol good times

Chris was a very well liked member of this board, to put it simply, and he lost a battle with cancer.

I'm sorry to hear that, I didn't know him, but it really sounds like he was loved by many.
