Unhappy New IBCM installed, now can't start car

Just Installed a used Intergrated Body Control Module in my 98, because the interior dimming lights were out. Now the lights work, but the security system won't let me start my car. Now how do I program the BCM.

Angry Bad dealer experience

I actually took it to the dealer to find out what was doing on with my interior lights...one hour and 120.00$ later they couldn't give me a straight answer except that a part is bad (duh! that's why I took it to them.) They said it would take them a couple hours to find out and maybe replace a part that is expensive. It took my about an hour to install the BCM, and my light now work. Now I hope they don't charge me another 120.00$ for programming that should take less than 15 minutes.

1. Try to turn engine over for a couple of seconds
2. Leave key on "On" position - the security light on cluster should be on.
3. Go have a couple of beers - the security light should go off after 10 minutes or so.
4. When the security light has gone off turn the key to the "Off" position.
5. Try to crank the car. It should get going.

The service manual says it should take three tries of this procedure to learn the new BCM. I've never had one that took more than one cycle. Good luck!
