New dream is it to much? LS7

Once the awsome LS7 goes on sale, what would it take to put it into a 2000 SS. Just curious of what it would take to complete this task and would it be worth it?

It's going to be limited production and cost more than your SS. Have an aftermarket vendor sleeve you an LS2 block, get a rotating assembly and build your own for much less.

Re: New dream is it to much? LS7

What would I expect on average at the rear wheels on power output with any one of those 427 set ups. just curiuos of the lowest output to the most extreme output. Also I do most of my driving on the street so of course I want to retain a streetable car but be able to eat anything on the street and track!

With an M6 car 550rwhp is pretty reasonable.

Would it be wise to upgrade to a 12 bolt for safety measures?

Thats affirmative, some kind of aftermarket rear end will be neccesary. I'd say a 12 bolt with a posi unit and 33 spline axles would fit the bill nicely.

Nick

you've helped me in the past with some info...so i don't want to sound like i'm trash talking you.

but the site i listed was installed and dynotuned....not sure if your price is or not. granted $2000 is alot for installation of an engine and dynotuning, but still.

although i see your setup includes the FAST intake...which is pretty sweet and i'm sure is great on such a big cube motor.

Re: New dream is it to much? LS7

Our price was not installed or dyno tuned but we do chage less than $2,000 for those services. Also we are not comparing apples to apples with these to packages. I am not saying there is anything wrong with their engine package but we have some upgraded parts in ours that unfortunately ups the price. We have a Callies Racemaster crankshaft instead of Eagle 4340,Callies I-Beam Rods instead of Eagle H-Beam, F.A.S.T 90mm intake instead of LS6,and so on.
