Question New Carrier for 3.73's????

I have a 99Z. GU Code is 5. I ahve been told that is for 3.23's not 2.73's. Either way am I going to need a new carrier if I go to 3.73's???

the 2.73's use a II series carrier.
and the 3.23 and up use a III series carrier.

so if you have 3.23 you do not need a new one.

actually you can find a 3.73 for either.

3.73 for 2 series are known as "thick" gears

for 3 series is standard looking..

Popular or not, that's what my car is getting this year!

And again, NO, you don't need a new carrier. All you need is the new ring and pinion (and you might as well do bearings while you're in there).
