New 2000 Z28...cheap upgrades?

I just have driven home a beautiful 2000 blue Z28...44k miles on it. Of course I spent most of the cash on the car, so I dont have much left for upgrades, but any good cheapies there? What CAI packages are there for a 2000 Z28? How helpful would a nice synthetic oil infusion be for the car? New air filter?

Blue as in Navy Blue? Yummy... Well... I guess I'm partial on that...

Lid, filter (read through this board and you'll find out the advantages are debatale, but it won't hurt you, either...), muffler or catback, cutout.

Those are the things to start with and all can be had for less than 100 bucks each. Just keep an eye on the For Sale section.

Changing all fluids (engine, tranny rear end) is also beneficial in the sense that then at least you know what's in there and when they have been changed.

Good luck w/your car!

super sucker ram air rocks!! i got that and combined it with a [url="www.texas-speed.com"]TSP lid, K&N filter and it made for a much cleaner engine bay and a serious increase in power on the top end.

all that shoud total about $400 shipped and can be installed in a driveway.

i also installed a ASP underdrive pulley which should be good for another 5-7hp

i'm having a new exhaust installed this week, got a Bassani offroad Ypipe used for $155 and i have a 3" magnaflow muffler sitting around that i'm going to have installed with all 3" tubing.

i figure i should be up to about 340 at the wheels when i'm done...
