all longtubes are nearly identical in power gains...you'll never see a difference between them other than material quality and things like that.

but pwer wise....they are all the same. that's why it makes it hard to fork out $1000 for headers when they now have coated ones for under $400

$400 is aweful high price for it. I paid $325 from http://www.speedunleashed.com/

I think the car feels more responsive and the purchase was well worth it to not bounce off the fuel cut-off redline anymore. Oh and you can disable skip shift using the programmer. They really crammed a lot of options in. I also bought because they are now based out of Central Florida. I can always drive up to the factory for support but haven't needed to.

Damn dude! do you have any other mods? cam?? or anything?? 7000 RPM's! your ***** are bigger than my'n man..i was screwing around yesterday, and stomped it from a standstill, the tach when up to like 5800 RPMS with the tires just spinnin and i just about crapped myself..i thought i was gonna mess something up. But if your spinnin almost 7K on a pretty much stock motor..than i'm not gonna worry about it!

the pacesetter y-pipe even with its crushed area can still have clearance issues with the floor board.

It's a heated debate, either the ***** are too big or the sack is too small. It all depends on your optimism.

7,000 RPM's isn't all that much for a small block. I have a few minor mods but keep on adding. I don't really worry about breaking the engine, just the drivetrain. It doesn't like to run that high in first, but in second and third it just keeps on going . . . I'm too chicken to run it over 7k and that's just where it sounds and feels right (plus it doesn't read any higher ). I don't power shift but do short shift and if the tires are spinning I keep it floored until they stop or I have enough speed to shift hard. I'd hate to not power out of a spin and end up bogged in the next gear.

If the tires are spinning you should be able to keep it floored and the RPM's flat. If you're bouncing off the rev limiter, hitting the fuel cut off, or floating the valves you know that you should have shifted already.

[QUOTE]Pro 5.0- 125 used
cutout- 25
Pacesetter headers- 400 (i have em and love em)
lid- 75[B]

I have a lid and I have a cat-back.

I've decided to go with the flowtechs under 400 coated, an orp, not sure which one possibly borla if it fits the headers, the pro 5.0 and ssra.

Thanks for all of your help guys.

the offroad pipes are brand specific for the most part. meaning borla doesn't make a ypipe that will connect to the flowtechs.

but you cna't beat the flowtech orp for $130
