turns over great, does not fire.

checked fuel, ok
checked spark, no spark

this is a 99 TA

it started being hard to start but eventualy it woudl catch. But all the suddedn now it just wont go. Ive been fighting with it for the last 2 days, this is ****ed up, its completely stock and it is suppost to be my "new reliable car".

What can cause it to not have spark?

someone gimme a list of things to check?

Thanks in advance.

Pull the codes. The ignition is controlled by the ECM. Find out if you have any spark, or if all 8 coils are non-firing. I will keep thinking......

Check all the fuses in the fuse panel! If the fuse for the ECM blew, the computer won't be doing its job anymore. Just a thought 'cause I know it happened to my friend's Sunfire one time...........he was ready to call a tow truck but he called me first and asked if I could have a look at it.........it was just a stupid FUSE not letting the car start!?

Maybe that's not your answer, but it's something to check. Then obviously you've gotta check all electrical connections in and around the plug wires, to/from the ECM, etc.
