Ok guys seems like my problem just gets worse I have a 98 ta that i bought off of here and it ran fine for about 1-2 wks then all of a sudden the car starts to surge while driving and the idle keeps bouncing around so i cleaned the iac valve like they said thinking it might be dirty get it all cleaned and go to fire the car up and nothing rotates but doesnt start. So i try later and after like 30sec of holding my foot on the gas and the key going she finally cranks up. drive it home turn the car off try to start it again and im back to were i started. Could it be a starter or just a bad fuel filter the pumps working and im getting spark out of the plugs.

 

Why do you have your foot on the gas? That's a nono for these unless it's flooded, which seldom happens.

Clean your MAF, gently.
Check all of your ground wires and battery cables. A loose engine ground at the back of the drivers head can cause this.
Change out the fuel filter and check the pressure to eliminate that as the problem.

 

Check the codes and work from there.

 

there are no codes being thrown. Went out today and it fired right up but shutting it off tehn trying to start it again its hard to start.. Wires are all good and maf has been cleaned
