Re: need help

any lid will do the same thing.

buy according to cost and styling.

some like the boxier SLP lids, some like the smoother MTI lids, or clear, and some like the rounded textured look of the TSP

as for catback...how loud do you want it? what is the budget? what kind of tips do you like?

check out www.ls1sounds.com for sound clips.

if you have the money you can't go wrong with B&B triflo, Corsa or GMMG

on a budget, magnaflow, hooker or Loudmouth

Re: need help

ls1 sounds is a great site, i wanted to know what everyone likes and dislikes i was thinking of b&b for exhaust and a mti lid? the hooker cat back sound great and its cheaper, my concern is the overall fit and finsh, my owner is going to keep this car for a long time.

Re: need help

the one bad thing i've heard about the hooker is that it tends to rust out. not sure if that's the tubes, muffler, or just the tips.

but the better systems are stainless which lasts ALOT longer.

fit is usually pretty good, not much to screw up.

as for finish...
i know the magnaflow is a polished muffler, which looks really nice. and i had the system for 3yrs, and my buddy who owned it for 2yrs prior to that. the tips were still in perfect shape...no rust. and that's with the salt air and rain of south florida.
