Post Need a few tips/help with SLP LTs

I am about 80% done installing my SLP LT Headers. I tried to install the O2 sensor in the Headers and I almost messed up the threads on the one O2 sensor.

I have heard that I might have a problem with the ceramic coating getting in on the threads.

How do I clean the threads out? What size bolt do I use?

What is the best way to tighen down the back bolt on the pass side header? That is one pain in the azz.

My SLP Drive Shaft Loop is about 3/8 of an inch away from the Y-Pipe on the top, will it hit?

Bill

I believe that the slp driveshaft loop will indeed hit the y-pipe.. I had that problem when I installed the slp y-pipe, and then the driveshaft loop.. The pipe kept bouncing off the bottom radius of the loop when I accelarated, or hit a bump in the road.. It would appear that this is a design flaw on their part. The only way I could remedy the problem was to put a piece of 2'x'4 on top of my floor jack, so as to cause the plate the loop is welded on to move upward.. loosen the bolts firts, jack it up, then tighten the bolts while there is force on the loop.. After doing so, I've had no problem since.. Pisses you off though, you shouldn't have to do that crap(hackery), for what they charge for ****!! (like who's gonna see the cute little "slp" label on a driveshaft loop anyway)??!!!!!
