My drivers side window doesnt work - has this ever happened to anyone else?
My car has less than 4000 miles on it and it is still under warranty but has this happened to anyone else - is this a common problem - the switch does nothing - now the window is stuck open - just hope it doesnt rain anytime soon.

semi-regular problem. You hear about it more than you should.
My 2001 T/A had to have the driver's side power window regulator replaced at around 8,000 miles.

To date I have replaced 4 window motors in 3 different f-bodies that I have owned. It's not that fun of a job!
