my brake is being... MEAN

My passenger side front brake, which i just noticed today, is closed fully on the rotor. Its eating the crap out of the rotor...... metal shavings, deep grooves, everything.

I know I need new rotor and brakes now.....
But the caliper is what scares me....
do i need a new one? If so, how much do they cost?
and what could have went wrong?

THANK YOU !!

Re: my brake is being... MEAN

check out 'installuniversity.com' they take you for a step by step on how to rebuild your calipers. Take the brakes calipers off to see what you may need. I bought carquest calipers and they are heavy *** hell, costed I think it was 150 each. Oh and their performance rotors -$110-are heavy *** hell too -no difference in performance from the carquest to oem rotors- just get gm rotors or aftermarket rotors that are the same weight as oem. Carquest caliper and performance rotors are very heavy compared to oem.caliper rebuild
