Question Mustang rearend on f-bodies??!!!

what's up everybody?

i have always been wondering if it is possible to buy s used or even a brand new rearend from a mustang or ford dealer.
i know they are a lot stronger than our 10 bolt 7.5" rearends.
is there any mods needed to be done? anybody tried that before?

because there are people that have Ford 9" on f-bodies..

one more? is Ford's 8.8" stronger than the 12 bolt??

thanks in advance,

no, it won't be worth it.. the suspension in the f-bod is drastically different..

gettign just the tq arm mounted will be a task in itself.

My trip to fantasyland has an independent rear end grafted onto my '98 SS. The Cobras have such... Has anyone ever heard of a complete mod to the rear suspension to get IRS? It's probably impossible (or nearly so), but it would crown the handling capabilities of our cars.

I'll return to the real world now!

To my knowledge you cannot convert an 10 bolt to an 8.8.I have heard of Ford 9 inch conversions but its not worth it IMO.9"'s are heavier than 12 bolts. When its all said and done a 9" and 12 bolt cost about the same to from what I hear.
