Exclamation Muffler People Inside Please! NOW!

Here is the deal, I have Pacesetter LT's......thats it as of right now. I am going to use the Dr. Gas X-Pipe setup and need to know what type of mufflers I need. I realize that with the LT's and no cats that it will be louder than usual, but I need a less obnoxious (quiet) muffler to help out with the noise. Will be using turndowns off the mufflers before the axle. Remeber folks, sleeper is the key here!!

Thanks all!!

With true duals there isn't much room for mufflers unless you don't mind giving up ground clearance. 18" is about as long a muffler as fits. Most people use a 12" bullet style muffler. Lanes true duals are very well known. My set is a work of art. His website has lots of pics that might help you. http://laneswheels.com. I have the Flo Pro Twister mufflers on mine and they sound great. You can forget about being stealthy.....can you say LOUD!

I agree the majority of people with duals use the bullets and they are damn loud.
Im gonna try the flow Tech Purple Hornie header mufflers. Their cheap and my exhaust will consist only of Long Tubes and the Flow techs and their like only 28 in long and have turn downs already on them. Now that is loud. The one person who has done said that True X duals ound tamer when compared to these and there alot cheaper. I feel that 500 bucks from lanes is way tomuch for what it is.

flowmaster muffs?

I know ground clearance is a big issue on true dual equipped f-bodies, and I was looking at the true dual setups from Lane's. Does anyone out there know about the possiblity of using flowmaster super 40 series mufflers on one of those systems, has anyone out there tried it?

The "Super" 40 is nothing more than a renamed 40 series.

I've seen pics of a guy that had Borlas, but he hammered the floor pan under the rear seats up to make them fit. If you're after stealth, you could run the pipes under the rear axel and out the back so you would have room for full sized mufflers. I've even seen a shot of a dual system w/ mandrel bent pipes over the axle to dual magnaflows.

I don't know about you, but to me turn downs do not mean sleeper. If you want true sleeper looks, mufflex has a single 4" w/a single in/out muffler. Thats about as sleeper as you can get and still flow well, unless you want to do cut outs.

I was wondering, pretty much the same thing..LT's, with True Duals, runnin' a set of muffler's....I've heard LT's,TD's, with a set of 1-Chamber Flowmaster's before..sounds badass at WOT...I was thinkin' about a set of Flowtech muffler's..or set of Hooker's..

if you want the sleeper effect you should use a stock looking cat back not duals as your gonna be noticed right away that you have no muffler in the back. It is also gonna be loud in the car no matter what since the turndowns will be under the car.

If u use a set of 45* angled turndowns, instead of them shooting straight down at the ground...It helps cut down on the interior noise.
