Mti Air Lid Fitment issues ?

Ok , I bought an Air lid , MT1 , and the damn thing added a ton of power . I swear I can feel the difference . But , Has anyone here put one on ? How did it fit ? The neck on them extends out and was hard as hell to fit on . There was no room , the MAF housing wouldnt go back and I had to force it into the grooves on the back and clip it down .
Anyone else have this prob ?

dude, your lid is fitting fine. scared the crap outta me too when i tried to install it and it didnt fit. thats the way all lids fit. they are made to be tight. i thought i had a bad one or something till my buddy who also has a lid explained thats how tight they all fit. i thought i was i gonna break mine but it has to be tight to seal good. have fun.

Im not sure If mine did seal good , looking around the top of it , It looks like there may be a few spots that are high . The guy I bought it from trimmed some of the tip off , so It came with a rubber fitting that it slides into . Wich seals good , But Im glad to hear it has to fit tight .

I can tell ya one thing . I put the lid on , ported the MAF ends , and FRA mod . And I know it dropped the quarter mile times 7 tenths . The thing feels like its being shot with NOS or something once it gets moving . I am amazed at the power . I took a friend of mine for a ride and he was in dis belief that the minor mods where all I had done . I have less then 100 bucks in the mods and It feels incredible .
Im thinking Ill hit in between 12.7-12.9 on drags . I know Il hit a 12.9 . I may even hit lower . we'll find out on opening day .

all i have is a lid with all the free stuff done and a flowmaster, and damn these cars haul ***. adding the lid makes a big difference. i didnt believe my buddy untill we installed one on mine and took it for a ride. punch it in 1st from about a 10 or 15 roll and . car already feels faster than my old 96 formula and that thing had basically all the boltons.

Im wanting to hit 12's on street tires with these mods But the clutch slips in my car . I already got the fix for that though
Drag radials would render it useless , due to the lack of clutch power .

When I bought my Clear lid a few years ago, I had to trim the lid down a bit. It sucks
