More drastic difference then I thought, CRAZY!!!

I just went from a A4 with 2.73's to an A4 with 3.23's. Wow, what a difference in gas mileage. With the 2.73's, i got about 270-80 mpg on road driving, with the new one I only get around 210. That really sucks, i knew there was a difference but that is pretty significant!!!

how did you get 270 miles per tank (im assuming thats what you meant)??? i only used to get like 230 with 2.73s....

also, the 3.23s hurt freeway mileage but they actually help around-town mileage because the car is quicker to get up and go with less power required.

Cool

Gotta love them 2.73's on a daily driver, like mine.

I get at least 330miles on a tank and there's still some left in there. I average 22-24mpg on my commute with some sprints here and there.

A lot more on purely highway.

Wink

Just as a side note...

Comparing the number of miles per tank is a bit misleading since we all fill in different amounts pretty much every time we fill up.

It would be more accurate to compare the actual mpg everybody gets.

I filled up this morning on my way to the office and this time I got only (?) 22.5mpg.

The tank before this one I got over 24mpg. This time I did a few more sprints than usual, so it definetely affects the mileage pretty fast.

It's all worth it, though!

Eh? I woudlnt' say that is the case... if your getting cooler air to mix with the fuel, its more efficient... more bang for the colder air = have to use less fuel... so you should get better gas mileage.. unless of course you drive like a maniac all the time because of the increase in ponys
