if doing a 1.8 ratio rocker arm install, how close will the springs be to maxing out?

i'd like to do the rr but i don't have the means to do the springs.

i know they "recommend" doing the springs too, but that's $$ and work that i can't really do right now

 

i just found these 1.75 ratio rockers from Comp Cams.

these should work fine with the stock springs correct? and what would be the hp gain do you think?

is 15hp asking too much?

 

well research has given me the number of max lift for stock springs is .525"

now what is the lift of a stock cam for 99?

 

The stock springs are pretty maxed out.. do not upgrade the rockers or cam without them..

 

stock lift is like .500 and upgrading the cam or rockers without doing springs is not a good idea.

 

stock springs are good for stock cam only. its the reason all other GM cams come with at least 01 ls6 springs. do yourself a favor and pick up some 918's or manleys so you can run the rockers or a bigger am in the future and not have to swap springs out again.
