youll be able to beat him on stock internals but it wont be easy.ls1s have run 11s NA but most are a4s due to high stalls.youll need a killer hook so get a tire like BFGs or stickier.youll never every bolt on that works.gears,headers,catback,pullies,lid,ram air.i mean everything.you might get away with less if he cant drive but z06s are nasty mothers.a little weight reduction will help too.

 

Put the car on a diet and do a Stage II heads/cam package from any of the major shops like ARE, MTI etc. Too bad you are so dead-set against nitrous use...that would be the cheapest and easiest way to do it...
