Post Major problems with my LS1, need help badly...

So I am driving to work today and notice my dashboard goes out...( no digital mile counter, no tach, no speedo, no anything )

Then it looks like it tries to boot up ( like when you start the car and all the lights come on and tach rises a little ) and it works then it goes out, then boots back on again.

Does anyone know what could be wrong or where to check for a fuse?

It's like it's trying to get power but can't it all works then stops working then works in different short intervals. When I look closely and the milage counter, I see a little flickering like there is power when it's out, it's very dull and hard to see if I look close enough.

Damn this sucks ;(

Your car is a 99. There's a Technical Service Bulletin on flickering dashboards/gauges.

www.nhtsa.gov and look for vehicle TSBs. If your car is still under warranty, the dealership will fix it for free.

Thanks for the reply, it figures my car is not under warranty

I wonder what they will charge to fix the problem, I searched for the TSB's but couldn't find anything other than the SES code one and the Odometer resetting back to zero.

I wish I knew what needs to be replaced.

There's another thing my brother has. It's a GM database on CD-ROM that has all 1980-2001 TSBs and recalls. I'll lookmfor the actual GM number.
I'll post back here, but it'll be tonight probably.
