MAF for 98 SS

My son bought a 1998 SS that needs a new MAF.

Can someone tell me if its the same as the stock GM one or does SLP put in a bigger unit.

Either way, I need part numbers or any info that would give me a point to start from.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: MAF for 98 SS

Wells SU-1102 would be a good start.

Re: MAF for 98 SS

Tom, that's Delphi, not ACDelco. Otherwise correct.

For electronics (and especially sensors), I've found that OEM parts like that one are always best by a long shot. RockAuto carries it for under $100. They have equivalent parts from other manufacturers at lower prices, but I've tried those and it's never worth the cost savings. You can have 120,000 miles worth of reliable performance from the factory replacement part, or you can save 20% for a part that will fail in 40k or less.
