LT's, need advice for cali f body

i have a 00 SS which means i have the EGR on my intake, correct?

im ordering pacesetter LT but i was wondering if i needed to get smog ones or non smog ones? i will be using an ORY. im planning on eggting an lsx or ls6 intake soon. so i have some questions?

in peoples expierences with 98-00 f bodies will changing to ls6 intake through and EGR error? so i must have it deleted right? will it not pass smog if i get the code deleted?

i want to order pacesetter LT but i dont know which ones to get? texas speed where i plan to get the has smog versions and non smog versions, does anyone know what the difference is?

what are the holes in long tubes any ways. i know o2 simms but does egr have anything to do with them

sry for the n00b questions but i really need some help

How are you planning to get around the strict emissions in CA? Last I heard, you couldn't run longtubes...only shorties unless you know somebody who can look the other way and pass you.

As for your questions, yes the '00 models had the EGR tube. SLP sells an LS6 intake that will let you keep the EGR system. It just gets relocated on the intake. Otherwise, you'll need to get something like LS1 edit to delete the EGR from the computer so you won't get an SES light. And yes, there are EGR tubes connecting to the manifolds/headers that feed exhaust gasses to the intake. The other tubes connected are a part of your AIR system. So, unless you plan on deleting either of these systems, you'll need the "smog" versions of the headers you go with.
