LT1 vs LS1
If an lt1 with cam jobs, it is possible it can beat an LS1?
I believe this is what the guy have. Mac Headers, high cat flow cat, 3.4.2 gears, 2800 torque converter, PCM Tuned, MSD, new opti and spark plug/wire, transgo shift kit...

Just the other day, I raced 2 rice car. One of them I just beat by half a car length and the other one by 1 car length. They gave a run for my money... Damn they were fast, they said they didn't used their NOS at all....

I guess it depends on what you're comparing. Stock Vs. stock or modified cars?
I've owned one of every 4th gen combo. 3.4, 3.8. LT1 and now LS1. Three were Camaros and one Firebird. My current car is an 02 LS1 Z28 while my previous was a 97 LT1 Z28.
Stock vs. stock the LT1 will run the 1/4 in about 14.2 at 96 while the LS1 cruises about 13.7 at 102. So, the LS1 edges the LT1 by about 5 car lengths at the end of a 1/4 mile race. Once mods begin, it's anyone's race. With minor bolt-ons, my LT1 was deep in the 13's and smoking stock LS1's. BUT, I got my a$$ handed to me several times by LS1's with similiar mods.
Bottom line, the LS1 has an advantage to the LT1 in stock form. For modded vehicles, the LT1 might very well have a slight advantage. This is because the aftermarket has more parts for the LT1 than the LS1. (Yep, this IS a true statement
) So, I guess the end result depends on WHAT you are comparing
